Cognitive mechanisms and their neural foundations already interested me during my years as a student at the Faculty of Psychology, Lomonosov Moscow State Unversity. After graduation, I was eager to find a specific field I would like to work on as a researcher and, in September 2016, I entered the Cognitive Neuroscience Master Program at Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Currently, I intend to focus closely on numerical cognition and its neural underpinnigs. For my PhD project, the primary interest will be to understand better the relationship between symbolic number processing and general-domain cognitive factors such as memory and attention, using both behavioral and electrophysiological methods.
