I received my degree of BA in psychology from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey in 2010 and then obtained my degree of MSc in neuroscience from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway in 2012. Currently, I pursue my PhD specified in numerical cognition. The scope of my studies is to identify the efficient ways for parents to stimulate their children’s numeracy development. I investigate the influences of parent-child interactions; in terms of numerical activities they do together, and utterance of numerical talk, parents’ academic expectations from their children, and parents’ attitudes towards mathematics.
